As far as I know, and from what I've experienced, you can not use your Monk's Resurrect skill to raise a dead Pet. Comfort Animal is the norm if you're looking to do that.

"comfort animal" will resurrect your pet if it has died and locks your skills for a short time. "revive animal" will resurrect any ally's pet next to you, including your own. none of the monk resurrection skills nor resurrection signet will work on your pet.

That was the other one I was thinking off Bgnome, I knew that something had slipped my mind. Ehh, it happens though.

So yeah, looks like if you want to keep that pet of yours Ren and still be able to raise it, you'll have to have at least one skill dedicated to that. My suggestion would be that if you're not all that attached to your pet, just scratch him from your build; taking 5% DP each time it dies isn't good. There are plenty of skills that can take the places Charm Animal and Comfort Animal/Rez Animal which will more than make up for the lost damage from your little fluffy/leathery tank (not sure if you have a cat of some sort or a hog).

I have completely killed my pet since they added the dp back into their deaths. I have no problem with the pet taking a dp, but I don't enjoy taking one with their death either and frankly, I don't enjoy taking more pet skills than necessary as they feel utterly worthless.
